The loved ones of teens missing after a tragic blaze at a establishment in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an agonising wait for confirmed information and requesting information about their children via social media.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated footage reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson stated on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts continuing to name the other six.

In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to the internet to request any news about their loved ones who were present at the venue that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

The who lives of a town near the city, told a publication that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the same in Bern, but could not find him.

"I'm living a nightmare, a nightmare. Either I find my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. It's horrific," she said.

She explained that some of his friends had been discovered with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's indescribable; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's foreign ministry has said that a number of of its nationals have not been located.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, originally from Genoa but now living in the UAE.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is dead, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "talented young man who represented passion and authentic values."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is still pending.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had gone out with a group and ended up at the bar.

"A companion told me they escaped after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she said, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "He was known for his good nature and smile, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has posted an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are closely watching the situation.
