The loved ones of teens missing after a tragic blaze at a establishment in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an agonising wait for confirmed information and requesting information about their children via social media.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated footage reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson stated on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts continuing to name the other six.

In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to the internet to request any news about their loved ones who were present at the venue that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has posted an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.
