Barcelona to Host First Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
